Undergraduate ParliaMentors

Be mentored by an MP

Work with leading NGOs

Be the next person to shape British society

Undergraduate ParliaMentors (UP) is a pioneering initiative that nurtures the next generation of politicians and community leaders, whilst bringing about social change today. Trios of Muslim, Christian and Jewish students with an interest in politics and a desire to be leaders are mentored by Parliamentarians throughout the second or third year of their degree. Trios also develop empowerment projects with support from leading NGOs.

Applications for Undergraduate ParliaMentors 2009/10 are now closed. To register your interest for our 2010/11 programme, please email Daniella Shaw Gabay.

“I have no doubt that this year’s class will go on to play important roles in the

future – both in their local communities, and maybe even on the national or international stage”

Dominic Grieve MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Justice

“Undergraduate ParliaMentors is a fantastic initiative. Young adults of faith are

having their views heard at the very heart of government – something vitally
important in the way we shape British politics in the 21st century”

Sadiq Khan MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Communities and Local Government

“I gained the belief that true changes start from people who crave them, people who have a great passion and don’t want to see the limits of skin colour or religion”
