Yazzmin reflects on her internship at 3FF
Having the opportunity to complete an internship with 3FF as part of my work placement for my anthropology degree has been a fantastic opportunity. I feel so happy and blessed to have been given the chance to complete my internship here.
Whilst working in the Education team, I've been able to see all of the careful planning it takes to prepare for each session. The cosy and welcoming office atmosphere has made my internship all the more enjoyable. I have loved visiting London universities such as London Met with the Connectors, Queen Mary for the Volunteer's fair and Mulberry Girls School for the teacher training session.
I've also had the chance to observe and EFB session at Eastbury School as well as 'the Art of Asking' session as St.Charles Sixth Form College. The students expressed their opinions openly and freely, but at the same time, they appreciated the value of structuring questions in a respectful way as to not cause offence. I saw how valuable preparing the work packs for 'the Art of Asking' were, and it was so nice to see how well all the students were responding to the information they received.
I'm very passionate about the interfaith community and have had the opportunity to experience some of the remarkable work that 3FF is involved in. I feel very inspired when I'm able to see the value of the workshops and training sessions from the feedback on evaluation forms. I'm so grateful to everyone in the Education team for all of their support and encouragement throughout my time here. It truly has been a wonderful internship and I hope to be involved in future 3FF work.
A big thank you to everyone at 3FF!!
Best wishes,
Yazzmin Ferguson-Dillon
