Three Faiths Forum (3FF) was founded in 1997 by Sir Sigmund Sternberg, the late Sheikh Dr Zaki Badawi and Revd Dr Marcus Braybrooke to encourage friendship, goodwill and understanding between people of different faiths, especially between Muslims, Christians and Jews.
As the name suggests, it was originally a forum where religious and community leaders could meet. 3FF was the first forum of its kind and provided completely new opportunities for leaders from these three faiths to address issues together.
Today, we work not only with leaders but with people at all levels of society. We run programmes that give people from all walks of life opportunities to learn, engage and build new relationships across community lines.
- In 2004 we started our schools work to enable students to meet and learn about people of different faiths and beliefs.
- Our leadership development programme for university students, Undergraduate ParliaMentors, started in 2007.
- In 2009 and 2010 Urban Dialogues and Women ARTogether were launched, to engage artists and young professionals in the work of building bridges between communities.
Using our experience from years of creating better relations between the three faiths, we now work with people of all faiths and beliefs.
